Privacy First: Verbum Astro is designed with privacy at its core. We only collect data you explicitly choose to provide, and we never sell or share your personal information with third parties.

Verbum Astro is designed with privacy as a core principle. We believe your spiritual and personal practices should remain entirely private. We only process data that you voluntarily provide in order to deliver the features you request.
Information We Collect
Information You Provide Voluntarily
If you choose to use the birth chart reading feature, we may ask you to provide:
- Date of birth — used to calculate your astrological birth chart
- Place of birth — used to determine planetary positions at the time and location of your birth
Providing this information is entirely optional. You can use all other features of Verbum Astro without sharing any personal data. Birth chart data is stored locally on your device and is not transmitted to our servers unless explicitly required for chart calculation.
Information We Do NOT Collect
Verbum Astro does not collect any of the following:
- Names, email addresses, or phone numbers
- Real-time location or GPS data
- Contact information
- Usage analytics or tracking data
- Device identifiers for advertising
- Browsing history
- Health or fitness data
- Financial information
How We Use Your Information
If you provide birth date and place information, it is used solely to:
- Generate your personalized astrological birth chart
- Provide birth chart readings and interpretations
We do not use this information for advertising, profiling, or any purpose unrelated to the App's features.
Data Storage & Retention
Your birth chart data is stored locally on your device. If chart calculation requires server-side processing, data is transmitted securely and is not retained on our servers after the calculation is complete.
You can delete your birth chart data at any time from within the App. Uninstalling the App removes all locally stored data.
No Account Required
Verbum Astro does not require you to create an account or log in. There is no registration process, and we do not ask for or store any credentials.
Local Storage
The App stores minimal preferences locally on your device using Apple's UserDefaults system:
- Theme preference: Your chosen visual theme (light/dark)
- Notification settings: Your notification preferences
- Onboarding flag: Whether you have completed the initial app tour
- Birth chart data: Date and place of birth, if you choose to provide them
This data is stored only on your device and is never transmitted to us or any third party except as described above. If you delete the App, this data is automatically removed.
CloudKit Usage
Verbum Astro uses Apple's CloudKit service to fetch public content such as:
- Daily oracle quotes and messages
- Meditation and practice recommendations
- Cosmic event information
CloudKit is used in read-only mode to deliver content. We do not store any user data in CloudKit, and no personal information is transmitted during these requests.
No Third-Party Services
Verbum Astro does not integrate with any third-party services that collect user data:
- No analytics SDKs (Google Analytics, Firebase Analytics, etc.)
- No advertising networks
- No social media tracking
- No crash reporting services that collect personal data
- No third-party cookies
No Cookies
As a native iOS application, Verbum Astro does not use cookies or similar tracking technologies.
Children's Privacy
Verbum is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.
Data Security
We take reasonable measures to protect any data you choose to provide. Birth chart data stored locally is protected by your device's built-in security features (passcode, Face ID, Touch ID). Any data transmitted for chart calculation is encrypted in transit.
Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access any personal data stored within the App
- Delete your birth chart data at any time from within the App
- Opt out of providing any optional information — birth chart features require explicit consent
- Uninstall the App at any time to remove all locally stored data
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected in the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. If we introduce significant changes to data collection practices, we will notify you within the App. Continued use of the App constitutes acceptance of any changes.
